Discover the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s best-known wildlife reserve and one of East Africa’s great safari landscapes. The reserve supports an exceptional concentration of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and plains game.
From July to October, the wider Mara–Serengeti ecosystem is also the setting for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Wildlife viewing is rewarding throughout the year, and your private safari vehicle gives you flexibility on every game drive.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Meet your driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel and depart at approximately 6:30 am. Travel through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at the viewpoint for photographs before continuing to the Maasai Mara. Arrive for lunch, settle into your lodge or camp, and head out for an afternoon game drive. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in the Maasai Mara
Explore the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives, when wildlife is most active. Look for big cats, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other plains game. Alternatively, choose a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Begin with a final early-morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon for drop-off at your agreed location.
