Lake Naivasha is the largest freshwater lake fringed by lush forests of fever trees and overlooked by the ragged-edged of the volcanic Mt. Longonot on floor of the Great Rift Valley.
It is home to about 400 species of birds and wildlife such as Giraffe, hippo and waterbuck, but the main attraction is the bird life, which is best observed on a boat trip on the lake.
